Community College
Haywood
Community College opened in August 1965 as Haywood Industrial Education
Center with one curriculum program and 15 students. Today, HCC offers
34 curriculum programs to over 1000 students. The College also provides
many classes through its continuing education division, including
adult basic education, GED preparation, occupational courses, and
community service programs. It is committed to quality, convenient
learning opportunities based on individual and community needs and
provides the State with a well-trained workforce that meets the needs
of employers and helps to attract new and expanding industry. The
System offers a wide range of accessible, low-cost programs for any
adult who wants to learn.
