Town of Waynesville
Waynesville, our county seat,  is a small, safe town with a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere, but we’re large enough to satisfy most shopping, service, medical and entertainment needs. Strong support is given to our secondary schools, and we have an exceptional community college. Several institutions of higher education are less than an hour away to fulfill your desire to learn more. How about a drama by local performers at the new HART theater or a visit to the Museum of North Carolina Handicrafts or a stroll through our beautiful downtown with its variety of shops selling creations by local craftsmen and fine antiques?
